Founded in 2019 in New York by Robert Krayn and Dr. Georgia Gaveras, Talkiatry has raised over $400M (most recently a $210M Series D in February 2026) and employs 800+ psychiatrists and 300+ therapists. It is strictly in-network: most patients pay a $20-50 copay per visit, there is no cash-pay option, and Medicaid and TRICARE are not accepted. Intake visits are long (60 minutes for adults, 75 for children and teens), and psychiatrists can prescribe Schedule II stimulants and benzodiazepines where state law permits, which most D2C mental-health brands do not. Offsetting that, independent ratings are weak (Trustpilot about 2.7/5, BBB about 1.1/5) on billing and support, a $100 fee applies to changes inside 48 hours, and a class action alleging it shared patient health data with Meta survived a motion to dismiss in January 2026.
