How We Score Telehealth Brands

Every brand gets the same evaluation: five weighted dimensions, prices checked against the provider's own site, and badges that follow the written rules on this page.

The five scoring dimensions

30%Trust & Safety
FDA compliance, licensing, transparency
25%Value
Pricing fairness, inclusions, no hidden fees
20%Experience
App quality, onboarding, support
15%Product Range
Treatment breadth, medication options
10%Reputation
Patient sentiment, reviews, longevity

Each dimension is scored 0–100 from website analysis, regulatory records (FDA warning letters, state board actions), SEC filings for public companies, patient reviews, and our own price checks. The overall score is the weighted average.

Category pages re-rank brands for that category. Product Range is measured by depth within the category rather than overall breadth, and specialists get a small focus bonus (up to +8 points), because a brand that does one thing is often better at it than a generalist.

How we check prices

We compare what you actually pay, not the headline number. For GLP-1 plans that means the all-in price (medication plus any required membership), the first month shown separately from month two onward, whether the price rises with your dose, and whether billing runs every 4 weeks (13 charges a year) instead of monthly. The GLP-1 cost data was last verified 2026-08-17.

ConfirmedSeen on the provider's own pricing page, checkout flow, or official FAQ during our most recent price check.
Patient-reportedThe provider doesn't publish it, but it's consistent across multiple patient reports or third-party reviews. Shown with a label.
EstimatedAssembled from partial published figures (for example, a membership fee plus a typical medication price). Shown with a label and never used to award a price badge.

How badges are earned

There are two kinds of badges, and they look different on purpose.

✓ EarnedData badges

These are calculated automatically from our pricing and scoring data. Nobody picks who gets them. If a provider's prices or scores change, the badge moves on the next update. Only confirmed prices count toward price badges.

Lowest Ongoing Semaglutide Price

Has the lowest verified month-2+ price for semaglutide (brand-name or compounded) among the providers we track, including rates that need a multi-month or prepaid plan. Intro and first-month prices don't count. Ties share the badge.

Currently held by: Fridays

Lowest Ongoing Tirzepatide Price

Has the lowest verified month-2+ price for tirzepatide (brand-name or compounded) among the providers we track, including rates that need a multi-month or prepaid plan. Intro and first-month prices don't count. Ties share the badge.

Currently held by: Amble Health

No Price Jump After Month 1

Every GLP-1 plan we've verified for this provider costs the same or less after the first month as it does in the first month. No intro price that renews higher.

Currently held by: Amble Health, Direct Meds, Emerge Weight Loss, Sesame Care, Shed, Willow

Same Price at Every Dose

Every GLP-1 plan we've verified for this provider is priced flat, so the monthly cost doesn't rise as your dose increases.

Currently held by: Amble Health, Direct Meds, Emerge Weight Loss, Fridays, Ivim Health, Male Excel, Mochi Health, Noom, Remedy Meds, Shed, Willow

Names Its Pharmacy

Publicly names at least one pharmacy that fills its prescriptions (in its FAQ, terms, or help center), so you can check that pharmacy's license and FDA record yourself. Patient reports alone don't count.

Currently held by: Alloy, BlueChew, Curology, Defy Medical, Direct Meds, Eden, Emerge Weight Loss, Fridays, Hims & Hers, Hone Health, Keeps, Kick Health, Lemonaid Health, LifeMD, Male Excel, MEDVi, OrderlyMeds, Ro, Shed, Willow

Top Trust & Safety Score

Scores 85 or higher on our Trust & Safety dimension (licensing, FDA compliance history, pharmacy and pricing transparency).

Currently held by: Ro, Teladoc Health

Best for…Editor's awards

“Best for” labels (for example, “Best Hair Loss Specialist”) are editorial judgments about who a provider suits best, drawn from our research and scores. They are subjective, which is why they're shown in a different color from earned badges.

Featured PartnerCommercial label

“Featured Partner” means we have an affiliate relationship with the brand and may earn a commission if you sign up. Featured Partners can get more visible placement on some pages. It does not change their score, their rank in scored lists, or any earned badge. See our affiliate disclosure.
