Hers Review: Medications, Prices and What Reviewers Say

Hers is the women's side of Hims & Hers Health, one of the largest direct-to-consumer telehealth companies in the US. It's a good fit if you want FDA-approved weight loss medication, birth control or hair loss treatment from one app at published prices. The trade-offs are a separate monthly membership for weight loss, mixed customer reviews, and a pending federal lawsuit over how hard it is to cancel.

How Hers works

You start with an online assessment that a licensed provider reviews. Providers can be physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners or mental health professionals, and care can happen by message, audio or video. Prescriptions ship free from Hims & Hers' pharmacy partners, and you can ask to use a different pharmacy.

Hers' menopause hormone therapy isn't available in all 50 states, and the site notes that hormone therapy for perimenopause is prescribed off-label.

What reviewers say

Hers' Trustpilot page (forhers.com) averaged 3.3 out of 5 from about 10,600 reviews when we checked, a bit better than the Hims page at 2.9. Its Better Business Bureau profiles are not rated.

The recurring complaints across Hims & Hers reviews are about subscriptions: auto-renewals people didn't expect and difficulty canceling. That lines up with the legal action below.

Regulatory and legal issues

  • FDA warning letter (September 2025). The FDA sent a warning letter to "Hims & Hers Health Inc dba Hers" saying its marketing of compounded semaglutide was misleading, including claims that it had the "same active ingredient as Ozempic and Wegovy."
  • Novo Nordisk agreement (March 2026). Hims & Hers began selling branded Wegovy and Ozempic, stopped advertising compounded GLP-1s, and Novo Nordisk dropped its patent lawsuit.
  • FTC lawsuit (July 2026). The FTC, Utah and Los Angeles County sued in federal court in Northern California, alleging billing without proper consent, a cancellation process with repeated retention prompts, and sharing health data with advertising platforms. Hims & Hers denies the claims; the case is pending.

How to cancel

Under Hers' terms, cancel in the app (My Subscriptions), through the Help Center, or by calling 1-800-368-0038, at least 2 days before your renewal date. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and partial periods aren't refunded. You can pause instead of canceling.

Our take

Hers is one of the simplest ways to get branded Wegovy or Zepbound, birth control, or hair loss treatment online at a published price. Budget for the $149 monthly membership on top of GLP-1 medication, and read the renewal terms before you pay. If price matters most for weight loss, compare all-in costs with other providers first.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Hers legit?

▾

Yes. Hers is the women's brand of Hims & Hers Health, a publicly traded US telehealth company (NYSE: HIMS). Prescriptions come from licensed providers after an online assessment and ship from its pharmacy partners. Reviews are mixed: forhers.com averages 3.3/5 on Trustpilot from about 10,600 reviews, and the company faces a pending FTC lawsuit over billing and cancellation practices, which it denies.

What medications does Hers offer?

▾

Branded GLP-1s for weight loss (Wegovy pill and pen, Zepbound, Ozempic, Foundayo), oral minoxidil and compounded minoxidil products for hair loss, generic birth control pills, estradiol and progesterone for menopause, generic antidepressants (sertraline, escitalopram, fluoxetine, bupropion XL), compounded acne and anti-aging creams, and valacyclovir for cold sores and genital herpes.

How much does Hers weight loss cost?

▾

Medication and membership are billed separately. GLP-1 medication starts at $149/month (Wegovy pill, Foundayo, Ozempic pill), $199/month for the Wegovy pen, and $299/month for Zepbound. The required weight loss membership is $39 for the first month, then $149/month.

Does Hers still sell compounded semaglutide?

▾

Not as an advertised product. Under its March 2026 agreement with Novo Nordisk, Hims & Hers stopped advertising compounded GLP-1s and lists only FDA-approved branded medications. It said it would keep compounded access only on a limited basis where a provider decides it's clinically necessary.

How do I cancel Hers?

▾

Under its terms, you can cancel in the app under My Subscriptions, through the Help Center, or by phone at 1-800-368-0038, at least 2 days before your renewal date. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, with no refunds for partial periods. Pausing is also allowed.

Is Hers the same company as Hims?

▾

Yes. Hims and Hers are two brands of Hims & Hers Health. Weight loss medications, prices and the membership are identical on both sites; Hers adds women-specific care such as birth control and menopause hormone therapy.
