How Oxytocin Works
Oxytocin acts on receptors in the brain and body involved in bonding, trust, and the physical response during sex, and the body releases it naturally around orgasm. The idea behind prescribing it is that adding more may strengthen arousal, orgasm, or feelings of closeness.
