Oova is a New York-based femtech company founded in 2017 by Mount Sinai-trained geneticist Amy Divaraniya, selling an FDA-registered urine test system that reads quantitative LH, E3G and PdG levels through a smartphone scan. Fertility and perimenopause kits list at about $129 per kit on subscription or $159 as a one-time purchase (frequently discounted), and are HSA/FSA eligible. A membership tier adds discounted kits, a peer community and 1:1 consultations with hormone experts, but Oova does not itself diagnose or prescribe; its clinical role is a data dashboard shared with the patient's own clinician, which it reports is used by 100+ clinics. The company raised a $10.3M Series A in 2023 and remains small. App Store complaints note that the app locks scanning outside its computed testing window, which can waste strips.
